Suicune is different/unique in that it is part of a non-mascot regional legendary trio used for a third version of a generation. I'm just talking more about the main mascot legendaries.
As for the looks, yes Suicune and Xerneas were elegant but they were still badass, they had great designs and were majestic as fuck. The same could be said of Kyogre
Moonbat here has all of the elegance but none of the badassery, and the design quite frankly just isn't that great. I love the direction they were trying to go with it and the potential it had, but the end product came out poorly

I don't understand these people saying moon bat isn't intimidating or bulky enough to be a legendary. Its a giant fucking bat with sickles on its wings. Just imagine you're a Pokemon trainer for realsies and you're walking through a thick forest late at night, trying to find your way to the nearest town to rest. For some inexplicable reason your attention is drawn skyward and you see the shadow of this fucker, illuminated by the backdrop of the full moon, gliding silently overhead. A chill runs through your body when the sickles on its wings glint in the faint light, winking at you tantalizingly as if beckoning you towards the endless void of eternity.
The bat is creepy and elegant, it really doesn't need to be bulky and as in-your-face as the lion. Its design is based around subtle intimidation and the silent promise of nothingness.

Think a traditional vampire. It's not so visually fear evoking but instead it has this elegance about it that brings about a charming yet intimidating atmosphere.
