I've decided to replay through a different game from each gen up to release, starting with Yellow.

Simple. Graduating college and getting a job to have my wallet full, and pursue some personal projects like getting a 7 string guitar and actually playing it, and learning about machine learning to have my spirit full.

I have so many other games to beat. Off-topic sort of, but I'm only gettingn SMT IV: Apocalypse (I thought Final sounded cooler) and the new Kirby between now and then, so I'll have plenty of time to clean up the backlog before I lose 300 hours to Sun.

Holy shit. How do you do it? How do you select which ones to use? Cause I imagine if you went to play the earlier gens, that would really lock you out of a lot of options in subsequent games. So do you play all gens for fun or do you really hate yourself and stick to just XY/ORAS since it has all of them?

mainly stick to plat/b2 or hg/ss if i can get away with it, Y is a rel bitch but i do it with some interwals, oras isnt necesarry as every mon in oras is in pt/hg
alot of first gen mons will probably be used in red/green if not, they will be used in hg/ss
main way to not run out of motivation is to cycle it, ie not play the same game immideatly after finishing it
