I mean you have to admit you can see the feminine motif Lunaala has. Thin body, feminine looking face, feminine sounding name, and the moon is associated with goddesses pretty often, more so than it is gods. Meanwhile you can also very clearly see the masculine motif of Solgaleo, muscular but thick body, masculine face, sort of male sounding name, and of course gods are more often associated to the sun then goddesses. Sure the two of them more than likely won't have genders but you can't deny they do take the parts of masculine and feminine very well.

I was going to buy sun, but this things design is too good for me to not buy moon. Opposite for me. I was going to get Moon, but the Sun legendary is just so much better. I like the bat aspect, but the moon/dracula bit makes it feel too tryhard to me.I agree that it seems feminine and that it would make sense if it was female... but we already have a female moon pokemon, so it's not going to happen.
