With the region now confirmed as being pokeHawaii, I feel now is the right time for us to have this sort of thread for speculation whilst we wait.
Post pics of any landmarks, areas or so forth from any of the Hawaiian islands (or the northwest islands near them) that would allow for for both interesting locals for them to use in the game, and also that would ensure plenty of variety for both gym types and also where various pokemon are found at. Bonus points if such landmarks or locations can allow for some cool shit to be done/seen in-game.
Also, Hawaiianfags are free to help us out with finding good locations and landmarks they'd also wish to see represented in this game with all these islands. Either way though, hopefully there's a good variety of things we can find that might be good locations in-game by the end of this thread.

Here you have the Naio Gulch in Lanai. This looks like it'd easily be where you'd encounter a gorillion and one rock/ground types and some grass types as well. Another prime source for a route here, for sure.
And here, I think I found the motherload of prime spots for shit to go down at. The Island of Molokini. Just look at this shit and tell me this wouldn't be a prime legendary encounter spot or where you'd fight the evil team's leader at.

Mt. Wai'ale'ale is one of the rainiest spots on earth, it's raining like 350 days out of the year or something. Great spot for water-types on an inland route.
The Sleeping Giant is a mountain ridge that looks like (duh) a person sleeping on their back. Gamefreak could just do that, or make it a sleeping Snorlax or something fun.
The Kaulalau Trail (pic related) is a pretty intense trail, leading to a gorgeous beach with a lot of sneaky currents. People die every year from the trail or the beach itself.

The volcano on the Alola map is probably not going to be an active volcano. That'll probably be on another island. It's probably diamond head crater. A dormant volcano. On the other hand we have the big island, the island of hawaii. Theres plenty of possibility for different biomes. Theres the deserts created by ancient lavadrifts, and rocky stretches of land covered in relatively new lava. Theres pretty rough and rocky mountain that could be interesting, as at the very top theres snow and an observatory, a good place for lore and exposition.
