Alright. I like the design for the starters this time around. I even find the Owl to be rather cute! However, I just seem to get angry when I see/hear people liking the Owl, and I can't stand the thought of choosing it for a normal run in the game.
I also thought this way of Froakie when it was released too.
Is there anything I can do to be more open about the Owl? I honestly feel like it has a good design and cute animations, but I just can't be anything but angry when other people mention it.

Maybe you consider its design more apt for your regional bird rather than a actual starter, which is why you might still like it, but not actually enough to take him with you. Kinda like Hoothoot.
Also, opinions, man. Everyone has them. If you end up getting mad over everyone who'd pick him, you'd probably pop a aneurysm.
