Vine whip, after changing it twice, is a lot closer, but doesn't exactly work for something that doesn't seem to have vines. Leaves make more sense.

Yeah, I'm tired of just vine whip and absorb as the only early moves for grass starters. Both are weak and while absorb does drain HP it's still not that great.
And I don't like when grass types just pull vines out of nowhere just to justify having vine whip. Venusaur made sense because it was jungle related, and Serperior is basically a vine, but why does Chesnaught have them?
