I figure it'll be fire/dark, since black has almost always been coded dark. I wouldn't mind. Already love houndoom, litten would fit in my fire party just fine. (Please please please don't let it turn into some fat, bipedal fug!)
Honestly I feel like none of the starters have appealed to me much since gen 2. I loved the original 3, cyndaquil and totodile lines were cute, gen 3 were good, but really not to my taste gen 4...was the first time I didn't want any of them. I boxed piplup and never used it. gen 5 I sort of liked how they started, but I disliked all their final forms. Gen 6 I finally liked one enough to pick one - greninja was pretty good start to finish, but I didn't love him. chespin started cute, but got too machoke-ish for me to like. fennekin...honestly the raggedy look plus that enormous ear hair was just so off-putting. If they had not used thick ear-tentacles, and gone a bit more classical witch (little witch academia's sucy in pic related, as an idea with the bottom swirly dress bits being fire perhaps.) I would have liked it more. I actually kind of like all three of these starters, but I LOVE litten and that little fur tuft that pops up when it's mad.

Japan has the biggest erection for Alice, they eat it up like candy. Alice this, Alice that, there are bands the play up Alice motifs, countless anime and manga that are based around Alice, games, stationary, light novels, clothes, the list goes on and on.
