What's refreshing about these new starters is if you can somehow wipe out Pokemon history and start over at gen 7, these new starters would be perfect. Their designs are so simple, a simple fucking owl (simple Boda plant), simple fucking seal / sea lion (simple fucking water turtle), and a simple fucking fire cat (simple fucking fire lizard). It's like revisiting genwun without it being genwun

I'll be the first to admit that I'd like to see more dinosaur Pokemon but GameFreak doesn't seem to have a very firm grasp on what they want to do with dino Pokemon. At first it seems like you can only get them through fossils because duh they're extinct but then you run into things like Tropius all the time which are obviously based on dinosaurs. I want this settled before we get any deeper into dinos.
