Type is not amazing defensively but that's not a death sentence. Tropius with these stats, is a death sentence. It half tries to be bulky but it has such a glaring and common weakness that harvest can't save it because OHKO.
It's not fast and offensive enough to take down threats first, even water types with ice beam
