you can, but like I said the 4X weakness comes at a very small benefit, which is slightly more usefulness against fairies.
Most 4x weaknesses that are relevant in the metagame are either really powerful dragons, or simply because the 4x weakness comes with powerful benefits. Scizor has great moves and tons of resistances that come along with bug/steel, so 4X fire isn't that bad. Heatran has tons of useful resistances that come along with fire/steel.
Poison/fire has very mediocre matchups
