Merch drives the franchise, the profits from toys, plushies, clothes and all of that are much higher than that of videogames or animation. The videogames have become and adv for toys.

They do, but I'm just not a fan of the way it's done with Froakie. Frogadier has large eyes too, but they're not as ridiculously huge as Froakie's, and I like Frogadier a lot more. The more realistic head probably helps there aswell.
