I go out of my way to collect cute and pink shinies -- I don't really have any qualms with "girly" pokémon taste.
It's just that OPs favourites were so thoroughly loaded with small-girl-tier Pokémon (such that I doubt even a small girl would have such small-girl-tier taste), so I figured it was some sort of joke.

I love feebas. It's a cute fish with a lot of potential. I feel like it and its evolution pulls off the "ugly duckling" type story better than magikarp, even though magikarp is based off of the story of a carp becoming a dragon.
