I mean, not really, considering how popular EdgeQuake is. The only two great resistances it has are fire and fighting, which is decent, but it's also weak to water which is pretty substantial. Immunity to ground I would say takes it into the realm of "good" but not "great."

You mean stone miss? When your only move to hit 4x misses 20% of the time. It might as well have sand veil. Fire/Flying's major weaknesses can all be easily covered up and its strengths are really nice offensively and defensively. Flying gets recovery and great neutral coverage and is immune to both spikes, while fire gets Wisp and hits Steel hard and can't be burnt. It resists or is immune to fighting, ground, fairy, uturns and bullet punches. It has 110/120+ base power moves for each STAB physically and specially.
