Gen 5 was fantastic. But the worst part were the Pokemon designs and seasons.
Pokemon like Krookodile, Sigilyph, Klingklang, Sawk etc are inexcusable. They're hideous. And holy shit those legendaries Zekrom, the MLPs, Kyurem; they look like digimon. Plus no matter how fantastic the rest of the game is, I think it is tainted for a lot of people due to the fact that it was the gen that brought the metagame those fucking genies.
Again, great set of games to play, even the Pokemon stats/move sets were generally good but the large amount of terrible Pokemon designs soured the games.
