Iris is legit the BW anime' Misty. And no ,May, Dawn and Serena are completely different in character, goals and personality than those two. They honestly tried very hard to recapture the feel of the OS for BW and it honestly sort of worked. As frustrating as it was at least it was fun to watch if you threw out your expectations lol
