I'm playing through X and Y for the second time ever, and it's morbid as hell knowing that this is actually a graveyard. None of the NPCs are aware they're tramping on skeletons.

It wasn't the fact that it's a graveyard that I found unsettling, it's that the Pokémon buried were killed in sacrifice. Up until Route 10 the graveyards in Pokémon were mundane, made for Pokémon that died naturally. This is so much more horrible.

I thought it was ruins or a ancient monument, they were to large for gravestones in my mind.
It's not a graveyard in the proper sense. It's actually a massive ritual site where AZ's machine drained the lifeforce of Pokemon to bring his Floette back from the dead and then annihilate both sides of the ancient Kalos war.
