Usually this kind of stuff is fairly spontaneous when it's just the box legends or starters so I'm thinking they really want people to tune into whatever they're about to show.

That was the "one time" I was talking about, June 6, 2014 was the only time in either XY or ORAS's pre-release that it leaked earlier than the 10th (excluding August when CoroCoro releases earlier anyway due to a holiday). So unless you're talking about BW or earlier (and even then it would still be the exception, not the rule), that's still only one time it leaked super early.
And it wasn't because of "big news" like you idiots keep claiming, because that would imply either that the leaker made an extra effort to get it early because he knew what was going to be in it beforehand, or he just happened to get it early but would've held off leaking it if he didn't think the news was substantial enough, both of which are ludicrous. People will get it when they get it and if they care about Pokémon at all they'll leak it the second they do.
