Well in the anime (more specifically Mega Evolution Special Act 3) it's been shown that the Pokemon world is an exact replica of our world in terms of geographical locations. So in terms of the anime it is a parallel Earth, however it can't be certain with the games. While the games have given us multiple references to real world locations we have never actually seen the world itself aside from a glimpse in X and Y when the Ultimate Weapon is fired, but even then it was only focused on Kalos.

Using evidence from the game, and not some piece of shit pulled from Joe Serebii's anus, pic related is likely the true layout to Pokearth. The map could use a little trimming in some places but it's the only one that takes everything from the games into consideration.
