For me if this was gen 6's start instead of 7, I might have been OK with the silence, as B2W2 left me with a lot of confidence.
But since those weren't the last games, and the last two games were XY and ORAS instead, I have rock bottom confidence in these games, and lack of information is only hurting that more.

Game Freak and even Masuda have said themselves multiple times that BW and BW2 were their passion projects. It truly shows they had fun creating it, and poured actual passion into it.
