And that's without specs, which does about 60% at least. Darmanitan can only switch in once, and with pebbles and flare blitz recoil it'd probably kill itself.
Closest I found to a counter is Nidoqueen, who takes about 30% from Hyper Voice and has 68% chance to OHKO with pebbles, and it outspeeds and 2HKO's without them. And anything Steel-Type that wants to switch into Sludge Wave has to watch out for an Earth Power donk.

No, I don't. Conkeldurr is pretty straightforward--tank hits and dish back high damage (with Flame Orb+Guts) while sometimes recovering your HP. My main goal is to keep him alive for as long as I could. That's where he becomes really reliable.
With AV Machamp, it's the opposite--despite being bulky compared to a number of other fighting types, you know he will still go down in two hits (three if you have some sort of recovery in place, or if you are against Special Attackers), so I want to dish as much damage/confusion in that period of time. I've caught a number of Gengar and Alakazam switching in and getting hit by Knock Off in the face.
