I wanna try and get back into pokemon, how are B/W/B2/W2 compared to the the ones before them?
My only experience with them are fapping to Hilda and Rosa
Currently playing the R/S remakes and hating it.
My game rankings of the handheld games are
Crystal > G/S > P/D /PL > Emerald > R/S > Yellow > R/B

Well if you hate ORAS you're on the right track anon.
There's people here who strongly hate Sinnoh and Unova. I say HGSS then Platinum then BWBW2 in that order. Black and white is very hit and miss but still a unique experience. Try it if you want to, but BW2 are my personal favorite games.

BW have a big focus on the story and force you to use only new pokemon. Worth playing just to experience this different approach.
HGSS are the best remakes, they improved literally everything from the original
Platinum is the best way to play Sinnoh, while BW2 improve a lot from BW and are the first sequel. Both P and BW2 are fairly challenging, offer a good postgame and strong candidates for being the best pokemon games
Black and White were pretty good, they are very similar to gen 4, so if you liked them in terms of gameplay, you will like gen 5.

Gen 5 is my favorite gen, the thing is, i played it when it first came out and didnt know any of the mons, so it was just like playin r/b/y again because you dont encounter anything other than gen 5 until postgame, its definetely worth the $30 that gamestop will cuck you out of, i often go back and play it because it has a realy good feeling to it

The fad died and kids were burned out by the time G/S came along, and there was a sense of purism about the 151 so G/S were immediately written off by R/B players. Plus GBs and GBCs were much more popular than GBAs, so by the time Gen 3 came around, Pokemon was way off their radar.

BW and BW2 were some of the best games IMO. Start with BW if you want a fresh start, you can't use old mons until postgame.

Gen 5 by far had the best story. BW is cool because it's totally fresh, amazing plot, and E4 is most very unique out of all games.
BW2 was the most fun pokemon game I ever played. Traded over a few eggs and it has remainded my choice for best pokemon game, best music too. It's also at the end of pokemons pixel are for battles so artistically and it was a great game to end such an amazing legacy on.
