But like, these aren't things. There's male and female, and they're MEANT to coincide with the same biological sex, and sometimes specific individuals reject their biological sex. Often because of hormonal problems such as XXY Syndrome. That in turn causes gender dysphoria.
But there's still only two genders. An MtF feels they are a female, and after a transitional period eventually aims to become one (or at least the closest they can given current medical science) biologically because guess what, gender and biological sex are meant to coincede, and the people who are born with opposed sex and gender go to massive lengths to correct their body and make them match because not matching is causing them all sorts of psychological harm like anxiety and depression.
And before anyone suggests that said psychological harm is the result of oppression because of the condition and not the condition itself, Sweden has one of the world's highest suicide rates among trans people despite being one of the world's most progressive and accepting nations, and the trans suicide rate is almost identical between pre op and passing post ops.
Easy answer?
Because one is interesting and engaging, and the other is boring and pretentious.
