How exactly is it "too far"? You catch all of these extra Pokémon legitimately the exact same way as the other 900-or-so, then spend 2 minutes changing their forms, and that's it.
I'm glad I did, it meant I got to play for a longer time and it makes my PokéBank look fucking amazing.

But the fact that there were forms and evolutions I couldn't obtain in my LivingDex bothered the living daylight out of me, so I decided to do this anyway. I mean, it's only their form-states that are non-legitimate, everything else about them still is.
