Only the owl matches and that could be pure coincidence. Mokuroh can also be interpreted as things other than tree owl. Kuroh, for example, could be a corruption of kuro (black) rather than a part of fukoro (owl). It's also not confirmed that these names are real, or if they are real that they're the names of the starters.

Burden of proof. You don't have to prove that something is fake, the supporters of it have to prove that it is real. Which they have not yet done.
Furthermore, the horrible art quality of the initial "leaks" leads credence to the idea that these drawings were just shat out by someone inexperienced looking to make a fakemon, which explains why they or anything resembling the art style isn't found on deviantart or the like. If they were well-drawn and in Sugi's style the fact that they haven't been disproven could be given some leeway but the initial quality doesn't give it much more legitimacy than me drawing a scribble on paint and claiming it's real because you won't find that image anywhere else on the internet.

There's a difference between being cartoony and just being flat out a different animal. The water thing doesn't share any traits of sea lions at all. It'd be like claiming Chespin is a cat and saying that it's just cartoony/stylized to justify it.
