I didn't finish Gold and quit playing until I got Diamond not too long before Platinum came out. Now that I think about it, I've never finished a Gen II game on a cartridge--just on a ROM a bunch of times.
RSE are my least favorite games (probably because I played Sapphire and Emerald after I already played Diamond), and Gen IV is my favorite generation (probably because it was the generation where I got back into Pokemon). I realize that most people probably like and dislike certain generations for similar reasons, which is why I don't understand why people get into arguments over which generation they think is better. It's one of the stupidest arguments I see among Pokemon fans.

I realy dislike gen 4, all of the pokemon look off,and i hated the starters for years, i realy dislike lucario being shoved into my face by GF and nintendo, i have never finished the game due to its slowness usually cant go any further than the sanstorm slowness. I've always liked Mewtwo because it sort of has a Dragon Ball Z vibe going for it, but not so much so that it doesn't fit in with the Pokémon world.

Apparently by helping he meant giving me the game for a couple weeks. He only had a Grovyle and a Wingull on his team. I decided to be an ass and start a new game. Just played the game normally and completely forgot that it's not mine. The kid didn't ask for it again either. So I kept this kid's Ruby version for about three years and eventually decided I should give it back. Started a new game, picked Treecko, caught a Wingull and played until the third gym. Then I gave it back. The only response I got was "Oh, I forgot". He thought I just had the game lying around for years without ever playing it.
I should've kept it, he wouldn't have remembered it anyway.also I'm such a fucking autismo I keep an Umbreon plush in my bed
