It felt like they were making it to be the Alakazam/Gengar/Machamp of Fairy type but ended up being mediocre and eclipsed by most old-retconned fairies like Azumarill, Gardevoir and M-Mawile.

I used one in my first Gen VI run. Pulled its weight pretty nicely.
It fuses with flowers and commands all flowers yet it isn't part Grass type.
Also it now looks like Toriel. Can't get it out of my head.
Huge disappointment overall. Grassfags had to stick with Marzipan from Homestar Runner.

I wasn't expecting much when I saw that this was the common fairy of the first few routes of Kalos.
I was right, but also a little wrong since getting it up to Florges makes for a pretty good team member, weights that Flabebe or Floette can't pull.
That, and Florges is probably one of the better fairies during the first run since nearly every other fairy needs a trade evo, an hour or two of amie to get Sylveon, or the patience to run around in a cave to find Carbink.
