Ampharos is anything but a shitmon. The only real problem is not learning Tbolt naturally, so you'll be waiting for Discharge due to Tbolt being way too late in W2. It gets pretty decent moves for coverage, too, as well as being pretty defensive with Cotton Guard, should you choose to go that route
