For the record, this deck is much like the old BW era garchomp/altaria deck was to run, in that it is a very strong deck (I have been winning about half of the legacy tournaments I have entered so far, and make the finals in most of the other half) but only running 9 basics really leads to a lot of mulligans that can give you grief (the main reason I am running Judge as a Jirachibox card, although I would cut it if better tech was suggested).

Hypno and Darkrai EX have great synergy together. And All Night Party is actually getting an upgrade in the next set called Chaos Town. Instead of letting you and your opponent wake up, it just flat out says you (and only you) can't be put to sleep (among other things).
And yeah, the cards you'll need here are going to be expensive and maybe difficult to find. But once you get all the staples you'll be able to build any deck you want a lot easier.

Cards need to work together. This just looks like you picked your Pokemon by playing Pin the Tail on the Donkey.
If you want to play something, try reading the effects of the attacks

I've been messing around with Typhlosion for a while and this is what I ended up with. You don't really need more than ~20 energies. Assuming you have 40 cards in deck and 18 energies left in there, you end up with a 75% chance of hitting at least two, making the attack consistent. The only inconsistent part is bricking with so many Fire Energies. Out of curiosity, which ones should I be going for first with tokens? I've already seemingly done everything I can with XY Blue/Red, Rallying Cry doesn't seem to have anything attached to it, and Metal Might isn't even usable in the trainer challenge.
A cursory search makes it seem like Dark Hammer is a good idea, and maybe Aurora Blast? But most arguments about that seem kinda old, so maybe things have changed.
I don't expect this to solve most (or any, really) of my issues, but it'd at least give me something to do while I grind out the challenges.

According to reddit and the forums, anyone who specifically redeemed a code via the exploit has received an email and has gotten a potentially permanent ban from trading. People who got the cards through trades seem to be fine.
They haven't made an official announcement. And probably won't, considering the emails.
The email reads:

I think the email part is fake and just trying to scare people. I also don't think there was confirmation that people who received cards are immune.

For shit EXs like Florges, the reg and FA are both the same price of a pack each. Probably any pack considering it's not that good or sought after. If you're patient, you might even be able to get two of the reg art for 1 RS.
You can easily get 2-2 Slurpuff and a few Fairy Gardens or other Uncommon staples on top for a single pack.

Not him, but he's absolutely right. The deck is a mess and doesn't make a bit of sense. It's a generic "type" deck that most Day 1 players slap together because they don't know any better.
His ratios are all over the place and inconsistent, he doesn't have a true primary attacker and probably thinks a couple of Gyarados and Kyogre are adequate attackers simply because they're EX. Milotic makes no sense here, Articuno brings nothing to the table, and Glaceon is obviously questionable. We're seeing a joke of a trainer lineup including Letter, Tierno, two Center Ladies, more Birches than Sycamore, three fucking Robes, Helmet and EXP Share, and no sign of cards that should be there.
It is, at its core, irredeemable. If he wants to fix his deck, he'll need to pick a specific Pokemon and build the deck around that. Does he want an M Gyarados deck? P Kyogre? Because right now it's neither.

Irredeemable would be if he had to scrap 100% of his deck. Also, a good 1/4 of his deck can stay. If you take out 10 of his pokemons, and exchange 20 of his trainers you would only have changed half of his deck, and it would be a reasonable deck for a beginner without spending much.

First, Glaceon is bad, there is a GlaceonEX coming, and it may even be good if people decide to use more Breaks and Megas.
Milotic is a niche support, so you probably won't use much of it.
KyogreEX is bad, the only attack that deals a decent damage requires a turn to setup.
ManaphyEX is ok.
Regice is a good tech against EX.
I think you were better with Gyarados instead of Kyogre, since it at least can consistently attack after setting his energies and Rough Seas can recover the damage taken from Gyarados.
Also, since you really want to use Milotic, I think you could try out one of the FlashFire, having it knock itself out is a HUGE drawback, but if your opponent knock outs your Gyarados, there really isn't anything that Milotic could do to prevent your opponent from getting the prize from Milotic.

The guide presented some of the best decks of the format, in ptcgo, not even half uses a tiered deck. As long as your deck is not completely bad(aka Glaceon) you can win half of your matches and even some low tournaments.

if you are playing competitive, then yes, the meta is pretty rigid and you can see the top 10-15 cores dotted around the sites like pokebeach.
But for the purposes of the online client you can do well with any deck that is even somewhat sensible. Do you have any cards you think you want to use to start with? And we'll try build around that.

Cloak, professor letter, tierno, center lady and birch needs to be removed. 2 rough seas should be enough.
As to add in, put in another sycamore, 2 trainer mail, 4 acro bikes, 2 Muscle bands and another dive ball. If it is still missing cards, you can put in another vs seeker or a single Hex Maniac.
