I still feel like Zygarde will be the one of biggest lore-wise and/or strongest legends the are. Probably next to Arceus, Mewtwo, and Mega-Rayquaza. The amount of promotion for it, all the formes and the still unexplained mysteries and secrets amke it very unique. We'll see how powerfull it is

There's not enough petals for it to be a hibiscus.
>>
>>26073759
We're one petal off. There's no four petal pink flower that looks like it more than a hibiscus does.

You're right, and we've had proper 5-petal hibiscus in the series before.

I guess it could be a bit like how Victini had a penchant for Macaroons, instead of Poffins or Poke Puffs.

It wasn't a reference, it wasn't a hint, it was just a cute character quirk. I think it's likely Magearna, being the first artificial Pokemon, will have some of desire to be organic, and that's shown through the flower.
>>
>>26074877
Oh wait, I just remembered, Magearna can *create* life.
>>

>the first artificial Pokemon

Golurk and probably Sigilyph predate it by thousands of years. An artificial Fairy type is a first though.
>>
>>26075019
Are Golurk and Sigilyph made by humans? That's what artificial means.
>>
>>26075106
Golurk was, but I'm fairly sure Sigilyph wasn't.
>>
>>26075117
Good point, I didn't know Golurk was written off as being made by humans.
I guess this is another case of Game Freak contradicting themselves, or the Pokedex is just a fraud when it comes to everything, which I find believable.
>>
>>26075159
>Whaaaa GF always fucks everyting up

You aren't thinking, anon. You're feeling.

Magearna is the first artificial Pokemon. That is to say, the first MACHINE Pokemon. It's the precursor to Voltorb, Magnemite, Klink, and visually, the PokeBall itself.

It's a sentient machine that is retained within its own structure.

Golurk is a clay husk that retains spirits. Sigilyph, we only know guarded an ancient city. Nothing more known about its origins.

Golurk isn't a machine, it's a golem. That's like saying the industrial revolution 'really' started with the invention of the wheel.

Stop this. Magearna is 500 years old. Magnemite were in the Kalos war, 3000 years ago.
>>
>>26075408
Fair enough meng.

>>26075419
Same seal with Golurk, they're golems. Yes, they're old as fuck, predating the Sinnoh region's formation, but they aren't technological feats.

On this topic, the 8th movie actually gives some insight into which species were identified first. Mind you, we don't see any Regis, but we do see Magnemite wasn't as recent as one might expect. Seemingly predates the discovery of Jynx and Farfetch'd, as well as the Tin Tower's fire.

Sorry for potato quality, it's the only copy easily accessible.
>>
>>26075463
By this you can also say that Magearna was the first mon that was made from scratch.
>>
>>26075462
>implying Magearna wasn't created before the war
>implying magnetism wasn't accidentally discovered

We know Voltorb spontaneously comes into being. Don't see why 'literally magnets' couldn't as well.

The newest movie literally involves a DaVinci expy involved with Volcanion's creation.
>>
>>26075501
Sure, that's a better way of putting it.

it also sidesteps the issue of Megnemite, Voltorb and friends, who are able to produce offspring.
>>
>>26075511
>>implying Magearna wasn't created before the war
????

They literally say the war happened 3000 years ago and that Magearna was created only 500 years ago.
>>
>>26075539
Oh, well shit, missed the timeskip I guess.

Then Magnemite isn't artificial. Or it's semi-synthetic, with a symbiotic relationship to human technology. Either way, nothing speaks to it being 'created'. I was just giving an offhand example.

Let's go back to Voltorb then. The one that's clearly a Pokeball that, through mysterious means, became a Pokemon. Is that clear cut enough for you to grasp?

Once again: they're not machines. Just because a Pokémon LOOKS like a robot, it doesn't mean it's a robot.

>Dex: The guardians of an ancient city, they always fly the same route while keeping watch for invaders.
>Locations: Ruins related to the one with Golett, and the route of AZ's sacrificial graves alongside Golett
>Japanese species name: Imitation bird

This thing is clearly the result of alchemists wanting to make a bird Pokemon like how they animated Golurk, but not knowing how the fuck birds and biology in general actually work.
>>
>>26076598
I like how you say 'once again', while not actually following the continuing conversation.

I also like how you ignore the core issue, which is them being man-made. They're obviously machines. The question is their origin. This is a universe with magic. You can have machines that run on their own magical kinetic perpetual energy.

Voltorb, we know its origin. It's akin to Kadabra's. Something that wasn't a Pokemon mysteriously became a Pokemon.

You aren't even paying attention. You're moving the goalpost. I didn't say they were robot Pokemon. I specifically said, the only/first robot Pokemon is Magearna.

When was it ever actually said Magearna is the first artificial Pokemon?

The only details I remember are 500 years old, mechanical shell, and "soulheart" core.
>>
>>26076940
It was part of the media blitz surrounding its international reveal.
>>
>>26076959
>>26076940
I think it might've been, more specifically, the first robotic Pokemon.
>>
>>26076959

I'm gonna need a source on that. Not even the official site's Magearna post says anything about being the first.
>>
>>26076968
>>26075501
>>
>>26076968
Probably, yeah. Prof. Juniper mentions that Klink and its evos only appeared 100 years before the story but there's no timeframe given for things like Claydol and Golurk
>>
>>26076989
You know what, it was the subtext that was fed into by headlines and others' interpretation. But I think there's a strong case to make here.

>Artificial Pokémon
>Introduced in film with DaVinci
>body resemblng the earliest known Silph Pokeballs
>movie title is literally "Ingenious Magearna"

I guess I'm just not autistic enough to overlook that mountain of evidence.

Shiiiiett posted the wrong balls. Those ones were from ~50 years ago.

These ones are from 200 years ago, or 100 years after Magerna's creation.

Nah, headcanon would be saying it lacks facial expressions because of its simplistic design and programming.
