I mean, the biggest issue is gen 6's lack of new pokemon and any new pokemon post gen 3 not being present in ORAS during normal gameplay. In my understanding ORAS has LESS wild pokemon variety than emerald. I want the habitats to make sense though. I already consider gen 3 outdated. I consider the gap between RSE huge. Same for FRLG
X/Y were the 3d gen 1 remakes. They even put out Origins for the gen 1 story.

Also I couldn't care less about Sinnoh remakes (or any remakes). You can play those already on a 3ds, plus constantly having the same plot is boring. Sequels would be far more interesting.

That's post-game. And yes, those don't count. It's a cheap way of having random pokemon appear. It's akin to a randomizer. No logical thought has been put into the distribution. Zorua on route 1 also doesn't count.

The first 2 gens had a varied enough pokemon distribution. Gen 3 and 4 have this issue.

Crystal's content was easily intergrated without remaking it instead and G/S didn't lock anything aside from breedable Pokemon to either version. (Okay there was the fact that the other version's legendary wouldn't have it's signature move and you needed Pokemon Stadium 2 to fix that but still)
