I don't understand the appeal of following pokemon and I am utterly baffled when people circle jerk about how they want it to return in every future title.

After XY were released and Fairy-type and Mega Evolutions were revealed on those games I really wanted to play a Gen VI game because both looked like a combination of Pokémon Stadium with a Pokémon mainline game with those 3D graphics and models, then when ORAS were announced then I decided which would be my first Gen VI game, only to be dissapointed by nothing else to do after becoming the Hoenn Champion.
Like the Battle Subway, Battle Maison is just a variation of the Battle Tower but the Maison's gimmick is that the RNG is against you. Amie is a nice touch to the whole series but it becomes boring after 5 minutes. Super Training is also a nice touch to the series, but outside of getting Evolutionary Stones there's no point to EV Training through it when Horde Battle exist and allows you to fully EV Training within 10 minutes counting Power Items and Pokérus. Practically, the only "Post-Game" in ORAS besides the Maison is complete the Hoenn Dex, the National Dex, Catching Lefendaries by Soaring in the Sky, and Collect all the Mega Stones (Contests and Secret Bases flags are included here due to Lisia and Aarune give to you Mega Stones)
All of this made me to return playing SS, where I'm catching all the Pokémon I can ONLY using Johto Balls (Apricorn Balls and Sport Balls) to trade them to SM.Also, while Pokémon is my favorite series, I only own four games: Sapphire, SoulSilver, White 2 and Alpha Sapphire, which coincidentally all of them are the second version

I liked the gen 4 pokemon (I like all gens really) but I had the hardest fucking time enjoying the games. Getting competitive pokemon for endgame stuff was gated so hard that I just never got to enjoy the battle frontier or anything. I found HGSS especially boring.
As soon as I found out how to RNG abuse in gen 5 I went nuts with it....I miss it, wish we had it for gen 6 (and pokecheck for that matter).
Despite all of the people insisting I should I have never hacked/injected a pokemon....I know I could save time doing it but I just fucking refuse (RNG abuse was far enough in the grey area for me to find it acceptable).

For the longest time, I always through the Machop line was part Rock instead of being pure Fighting, so I'd always use water moves like Surf on them.
It worked so this belief stuck with me and I thought it worked because I thought they were part Rock instead of realizing it worked because they always had low special.

I've never bought a 3rd version game. It's silly to me that people consider Emerald/Platinum vastly superior to RS/DP respectively. I get that they improved upon few things but the core (as in, region and most of the mechanics) of these games is the same as far as I've seen.
