Lysandre is fucking awful though, and his motivations are incredibly unclear. Cyrus is probably the best villain overall - he's intimidating, is a real thread, has clear motivations and personality, and even a little backstory.
Ghetsis isn't bad either, though he's pretty cliche. Giovanni barely has any personality, Colress is pretty cool, Maxie and especially Archie are barely villains. I like them as characters though - Archie is a total bro. How are their motives a mystery at all? Can you not read, they are spelled out for you when you first meet them.
