I kind of like Bog's interpretation of an alternate Chinchou evolution. Really, I would probably like Lanturn if it had at least gotten a big toothy angler fish maw. It just isn't weird enough for my liking as-is.

I think it's more along the lines of Chinchou becoming a "miniature submarine" when it evolves, just like how Carvanha becomes a "torpedo" when it evolves into a Sharpedo.

Because it was introduced in Gen 3 when dragon was based on special attack, and because flamethrower worked well for him in that generation, I've always preferred Flygon as a special attacker even though he's a bit better at physical attacks.

I meant giving it a unique ability that gives it some huge buff in sandstorms. The pokedex entries implicitly reference sand veil, but that would be gay and it would be much more interesting if it instead got something like a special attack version of sand rush, or preferably something even more interesting than that. I just really like it when a pokemon matches up well to its pokedex entry.
