Wait, what?
>>
Literally just invented that didn't you
>>
>>26019549
>Swampert
>>
>>26019549
There are literally only two water starters that fit that theme, though. Congrats, you managed to make up a pattern that makes even less sense than the zodiac.
>>
>>26019619
Torpedo.

Time to eat a dick.
>>
>>26019573
Blastoise - cannons
Feraligatr - hand combat
Swampert - torpedo
Empoleon - spear
Samurott - sword/samurai
Greninja - ninja/shuriken

>>26019896

>torpedo

the fuck is that supposed to mean?

It means patternfags will grasp at anything

I acknowledged Blastoise. It and Greninja are the only ones that fit that "pattern". You are borderline illiterate.
>>
>>26019896
>Feraligatr - hand combat

"Oh yeah, the pattern is weapons, except from the two ones that clearly don't have weapons. It's still totally a pattern, though."

You're even worse than the zodiacs.

Snappy comeback.

>>26020000
I did not acknowledge that there is a pattern (because there clearly isn't), I acknowledge that you pretend that there is a pattern. You seriously need to work on your reading comprehension.

Also, I want to note that pretty much every single fucking pokémon can be argued to have a combat theme, seeing as this is a game about creatures fighting each other. You'll have to do better.
>>
>>26020051
You're just baiting, aren't you?
>>
>>26019896
>Swampert - torpedo
How?
>>
>>26020132
by being a bait post, this whole thread is bait. chum in the waters levels of bait.
>>
You may be on to something here.

Venusaur = Synapsid
Meganium = Sauropod
Sceptile = Theropod
Torterra = Ornithopod
Serperior = ancient Reptilia
Chesnaught = This is a stretch but I'm guessing Therapsid?
>>
>>26020152
I can guarantee you 100% that GF did not intend that to be a pattern. Reptiles look good in green, that's seriously all there is to it.
>>
>>26020152
even a 5 year old could tell you that most grass starters are dinosaurs

The Bulbasaur line is toads.
>>

>>
>>26021278
Yes, but they want to see patterns, so they're gonna make shit up.
>>
>>26021258
Within limits. If you take it too far, like OP, you've got a mental illness.
>>
>>26021278
Toads. With fangs. And ears. And claws. How retarded are you anon?
>>
>>26021331
Some frogs have fangs. Bulbasaur and Ivysaur didn't have ears. Venusaur was a mistake.

Zodiac pattern never existed unless you want to believe an anteater is a mouse that fucking badly

Reptile pattern died when Gen VI introduced a hedgehog wearing a chesnut

Ballistics is OP either trolling or reaching a level of autism that even Zodiacfags would never delve into
>>

>Feraligatr - hand combat
>Swampert - torpedo

I hope you realize how little sense this makes by now
>>
>>26021278

nah I'm pretty sure the bulbasaur line are really just nondescript reptile monsters

there is pretty much nothing to suggest that they're amphibian in any way

>not hand combat
I hope you realize how retarded you are by now
>>
>>26022168
>in no description is super power compared to being a punch
looks more like a body slam to me based on the attack animation

it does learn an alarming number of punches and claw attacks, but the design theme was obviously the bites.
>>
>>26022168

I don't really see what this proves

A lot of pokemon can learn punch or kick or fighting moves in general

how does Feraligatr stand out just because it can use some too?

its obvious that Feraligatr would have some degree of raw physical strength but its not like its a disciplined veteran of martial arts

I mean half of the fire starters are actual fighting type but Feraligatr is the expert in hand combat here? gimme a break

>Bulbasaur
>Poliwrath

>>
>>26019542
You realize this pattern is already a stretch because of Chesnaught, Sceptile, and Serperior, and even Venusaur?

1. Chesnaught could be any armored mammal like a pangolin or armadillo.

2. There's absolutely no evidence that Sceptile is dilophosaurus despite what bulbapedo says. The crests on it's head resemble the crests above the eyes common on most leaf-tailed geckos, which is what the entire line is based on.

3. Yeah snakes existed in prehistoric times but they also exist now.

4. Venusaur is not really based on a dinosaur or prehistoric animal at all. It's a generic reptilian monster.

Furthermore I'd like to know how Swampert and Feraligatr fit the weapon pattern.

Nice one. Humans are an ancient species too amirite.

Paleocene is prehistoric which is older

Ancient refers to a time AFTER prehistory hence "Ancient Rome"
