the anime/movies/manga give a much better representation of pokemon size. For instance, Nidoking/Nidoqueen stands almost head and shoulders over Golem in the animated material, yet they are the same height in the pokedex

Not to mention, the pokedex contradicts itself outright. In the ORAS dex, when looking at the size depictions against other pokemon, pokemon of the same height can be totally different sizes. It's not even a body type issue either, it happens so frequently among so many different kinds that it's impossible to justify.
Not to mention, official source material also contradicts them. Sugimori quite often depicts Charizard in official art as being similar to the anime size.
AT BEST, the pokedex sizes are rough general measurements. But even so, instances like >>25988490 exist where it's straight up mathematically false.

And? Average doesn't mean there is a huge variation in the sizes. The vast majority of Chikorita will still be larger than the vast majority of Excadrill.
GF obviously has a problem with measures and numbers but I always thought that visual silhouette representations were canon
