5th gen was honestly my least favorite gen. Only Gen 5 song I particularly enjoyed was the battle theme for the Three Musketeers.

I think Gen 3 was also just major nostalgia for me. Although I was a fan from the beginning, the first game I had a chance to play through was Ruby.

I usually love Pokemon music (some more than others obviously) but gen 6 was mediocre to me. Only tracks I really liked were the Team Boss battle, Sycamore's, and the champion battle theme.

Don't get me wrong, the latter 3 had some amazing tracks (i.e. anything that returned in later games) but most of them were unfortunately forgettable.

Gen 4 and 5 have the most atrocious soundfonts. Either be chiptun like gen 3, or nice sounding like 6. Absolutely cannot stand gen 5 soundtrack.
