>Magearna's mouth is actually a static "o" decoration
>tfw all that fanart of her mouth in different expression isn't canon
Welp just when I thought the design was nearly flawless, sexy robot waifu, turned out to be one of the most ruined designs in the franchise.
>>25941637
I don't care for fan art anyway.
>>25941637
>turned out to be one of the most ruined designs in the franchise.
Yes, because that one little thing ruins your degenerate Waifu-love.
Regardless of this, Magearna's still adorable, and fanart will likely persist to make it more of a mouth. Your degeneracy will always have art, Anon.
It's cute and it's a robot and it's a Pokemon.
That's a pretty interesting detail actually. Makes it feel more genuinely robotic and artificial like the klink line (though that line is technically natural). I'll have to keep that in mind when drawing it if this is true.
>>25941637
Considering that I have a huge interest in masks and the idea of frozen featuresShygirls/bois as an example. Them masks are awesome, I have no problem with Magearna's mouth being frozen in an appearance.
I look forward to all of the art that manages to take this into account and work on giving it expressions while still having the mouth.
>>25941637
How disappointing
>Magearna's expression is stuck the same way as Klink's
DEEPEST
>>25941946
To be fair, Magearna does have eyelids
It's always interesting learning a bit more about Pokemon's little details after only seeing them in one position or something. Like the tiny cape on the back of Pancham or the fact that both Mega Mewtwo and Breloom's arms can stretch.
>>25941967
Another thing to take into account. I wish they'd release more concept are of Pokemon. It's always cool to see. Also useful for those who like to stay on model.
>>25941637
The pic is mine.
If I drew Magearna with different mouth is because I didn't notice it is just a decoration. My apologies for this.
In fact, I admit that I like the mouth is a permanent O.
>>25942380
cooldraw more megearna pls
>>25941637
>Having sexual attraction to Magearna.
Wtf man? Actually magearna body is a fucking hard and cold metal so it doesent feel good to touch Magearna, also if Magearna has "Puss Puss" it will made of metal and also it will be full of gears and maybe some edgy stuff so FUG with her will hurt your D, or at least you will feel epic discomfort
>>25942730
When I return home after to work I will solve the mouth problem.
And maybe if this thread is still alive a new rapid sketch for you.
Constant "o" mouth actually makes her waifu material in my eyes.
So did the anime also portray Klink as never blinking or anything? It wasn't until Pokemon Amie that I realized the Klink line doesn't actually have faces. Their "eyes" are like screw (or some other fastener) heads and their mouths are screw holes.
>>25942380
>Anonymous
you should also note that magearna's ears aren't flexible.. it's made of steel.. look at how it is drawn in movie
>>25942922
I like how they emote through movement in amie. They are actually surprisingly expressive despite not being able to distort any part of their body.
>>25941637
plot twist: magearna is just a code name, and it is really Mega Klinklang
>>25943031
plot twist: diancie is just a code name, and it really is Mega Carbink
Not being canon doesn't mean I can't fap to it.
>>25943048
>a mega with a mega

I know, but unfortunately I 'm not going to fix this.

Must be cold in that picture
>Best defensive typing in the game
>Gonna probably have 100 base stats across the board
Seems pretty cool. Maybe what I hoped Diancir was gonna be.
>>25943170
>you are the Kid.
Fapping off inaccurate pictures of a Pokémon.
>>25941945
sauce?
>>25941637
People thought this design was flawless? It's ugly as fuck and the concept behind it is stupid
>>25941967
This bothers me in every way possible. These aren't eyelids, they're iris-lids.
>>25943129
Underrated.
>>25944937
To be fair, half of pokemon emote like pic related, which makes far less sense.
>Mouth
is it really supposed to be a mouth? It's the same size and shape as the ''nose''. I just thought she was just mouthless like all the other artificial Pokemon (The Golurk line, Voltorb, the Regis, Magnemite line, etc.)
Anyways, I'm glad you're all disapointed by this revelation. Maybe now you'll stop praising this overly detailed, over-complicated mess of a legendary just because it has vague feminine features. What a bunch of LOSERS.
>>25941637
>mfw I knew it wasn't a mouth the whole time
>>25945056
>implying
>>25944694
Boogie.
>>25941637
>>25941945
Lemee go a step further:
From the movie trailer, it implies that the real Magearna is just the heart in the centre of its torso, and its body is actually just a metal exoskeleton being controlled from within.
In other words, Magearna doesn't have a sense of touch. And all your Rule34 is now ruined.
I HAVE NOW DESTROYED YOUR PLANS FOR THIS AFTERNOON!
>>25945608
>implying it cant feel things through some sort of fairy sense field
>implying it wouldnt get off on having itself shoved up your ass
come on anon, step up your fetish imagination.
Do you really think this design is in any way flawess? When I first saw it, pic related immediately came to my mind. If a Pokemon just looks like two other Pokemon mashed together somehow it is not a flawless design. I don't dislike its design much, but it is in no way flawless.Magearna looking like a combination of two other Pokemon can be excused though, since it was made by a person. That guy probably used other Pokemon as a reference, so I honestly don't mind that much.
>>25945056
>Anyways, I'm glad you're all disapointed by this revelation. Maybe now you'll stop praising this overly detailed, over-complicated mess of a legendary just because it has vague feminine features. What a bunch of LOSERS.
>over-complicated
In other words, you just don't like Magearna, and to try and come up with a reason, you use the 'overly complicated' bullshit excuse. I'm sorry that you're so simple minded like the rest of the 'x Pokemon is over-designed' fools.
>>25941637
>>25942380
I fixed the drawing.
>>25946816
totallycute
>>25941637
So it has no mouth and must scream?
>>25946535
...what the fuck are you talking about?
>hurr this valid reason is wrong
Look at it, it's covered in unnecessary shit. Yeah, I get it "it's artificial" "it's man-made" "it's SUPPOSED to be covered in details!"
But sadly those reasons are fucking retarded. A Pokemon doesn't have to be covered in details just because it's artificial. It's hard to remember, it's hard to look at, and it's got no valid reason as to why it's over-cluttered with shit. Why the fuck does it have those crosses in it's eyes? Why does it have those diamonds on it's chest? And those retarded zig-zags across it's ''dress''? They literally, and I mean this in full force, LITERALLY add NOTHING to the design. It's painful to look at, and it's only loved because a lot of /vp/ users are depressing human beings that idolize anything with a dress.
>>25947759
Isn't Magearna partly based on Faberge eggs, which are ornate as fuck?
>>25941637
>my face when I still like her regardless
>kinda sucks her mouth doesn't move, but here's the thing
>why don't we just say they're custom magearnas so she can smile?
>she's a robot, so it's not farfetched to just add 'improvements'
There, problem solved.
>>25947831
>Why am I so happy all the time?
>I'm just stuck with this smile on my face and this upbeat voice! I'm actually quite depressed!
>>25947759
You say that, but its like a car. You might be content driving a beat-up old pinto, but some people like to trick out their rides and add things regardless of whether it adds function or not, just because they can. Magearna, being an artificial pokemon, I'd say is much the same.
>>25947868
All life is pain, but at least this robot waifu can be whatever I want because power of imagination!
>>25947831
stand aside, i got this
>>25947831
>>25947868
Pff, that reminds me of Yes-Man from fallout new vegas, forced to be cheerful and smiley no matter how inane or idiotic the guy pulling the strings are.
>>25947904
Everyone give this man a medal, he has solved it forever.
>>25947905
It'll be just like upgrading the Securitrons, only we're not conquering anything!
>>25947932
Not conquering anything, except kids both in game and out of game. Meanwhile she's bored out of her mind since she was anticipating a grand adventure all over the world.
>>25941637
Honestly it's that detail that made me like the design, that mouth was retarded for a robot
>>25948020
>"Bored? Of course not! I could never be bored because my programming doesn't let me!"
>"What do you mean I look frustrated? That's just crazy talk!"

There's no such thing as a flawless character design to begin with. Particularly with the Pokémon ethos of "Any Pokémon must be reasonably easy to draw" limiting how much you can actually do with it (it's got a distinct lack of clockwork for a clockwork being, for example). But it's still a VERY good design.
>>25941637
>>25949425
Look at pokémon like Zekrom which has very defined musculature as well as lines and cracks all over its body. I don't think anybody would call it reasonably easy to draw.
>>25949517
The trend of Pokémon complexity and recreatability is as follows:
-Starters are the easiest. They intentionally use simple shapes and curves.
-Then there's weaker Pokémon. Basic evolutions and non-evolving enemies you'd find in the early game. They don't get fancy details or flairs, they're basically just Pikachus in terms of complexity.
-Then there's the cute Mythical Pokémon. Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Manaphy, Victini, Keldeo, Meloetta, Diancie, Hoopa, and Magearna. They've got more details, but the details will never be complicated to draw, and still have a lot of simple curves. In particular, notice how the decorations on Meloetta are all exceptionally easy to produce, and even her arms are just egg-shaped.
-Then there's the middle-evolutions and late-game basic evolutions. These start having more complicated curves and aren't so easy for kids to do, as well as adding more details that aren't so necessary. Beldum is a good example of an unevolved Pokémon that's hard to draw but could've been easy if it didn't have a rock shape.
-Then there's a range for the final evolutions, minor legendaries, and the strong Mythical Pokémon. The trios normally go here, as well as Deoxys (ish), Darkrai, Arceus, and Volcanion. They're not Digimon levels of difficult, but they have a lot more details on them and aren't very easy to construct out of shapes like the earlier ones are.
-And finally, you have the box mascots and other big legendaries, which are straight-up "How the hell do I even draw this thing?!"
