It showed up in-game in the finale cutscene, and its relationship with AZ was resolved. The end. There's no event text in the game for it.
Maybe it was planned for AZ to get cucked and give the Floette to us at one point, but Z and Gen 6 as a whole died before that could happen. Both the movie distros are filled by Volcanion and the Election winner.
