I have to disagree. Considering how little we know about SM overall, there's a strangely high amount of evidence for Hawaii. Frankly the rainbow license plate alone is enough for me - that's such an insanely specific detail that it can't be random. But combined with everything else, I just don't see how it could be anything else given what we know now.
The supposed Mexico evidence is all very generic - lots and lots of places have ancient myths and buildings about the sun and moon - and the Hawaii evidence is very specific. Who knows, maybe I'll be proven wrong in the end, but for now I think that Hawaii is as obvious as New York and France were.

How about the Strange Souvenir? And yes, I am aware that there are somewhat similar idols elsewhere, but they're not inextricably linked with those places like they are with Hawaii. Tikis are emblematic of Polynesia; there are other symbols that more likely would have been used for Mexico but none more likely for Hawaii.

SO in the pokemon world that design wouldnt be needed since it has an unlimited source from pokemon like blastoise. Which if it wasnt a firetruck they would have clearly used another pokemon on there.
