B/W had all the good cries up until that point and in better quality. Off the top of my head they ruined:

Just absolutely awful.

The only thing wrong with the suggestion is that it's impractical. You'd have to hire however many voices talents they have for all 721 pokemon, which is presumably at least 20 per language. That's at least 100 extra staff taken on for very little gain. There's also filesize issues. Recorded voice samples would be akin to packing in a shitload of little tiny music files, since you can't use the kind of waveform manipulation (for lack of a better term) you would be doing to make the electronic beeps and boops.
Then there's legendaries. The majority of them are established in lore as being able to hold conversation, which is more than the games tend to do. You'd have things like Arceus, Lugia, Mewtwo, Shaymin, and Diancie (just to name a few) behaving wildly out of character.
Too much work for too little gain on every front. It works on smash because you don't actually capture the pokemon and the assists are just dropping into help. Wouldn't work for the main games proper though

Because the anime cries were never intended to be like their real cries. It was simply a decicion to make them repeat their names so children would remember them easier. That's not really a factor in the game where the Pokemon's name is visible almost at all times. Besides, it would be way too much effort for Game Freak.
