What Corocoro did was plain lying. Last month they were counting on something being done by this time. They aren't holding info, they just don't have it. Now they are doing it again, these covers (or the little we can see) are just mock ups.

In the interviews before ORAS was released Masuda said that production on ORAS started the day after XY wrapped and that they had to fit it in in less than a year. They also said that because of that tight timeframe the decision had to be made to either have an ORAS remake made or an XY3/Z, there never was going to be a third version for XY as long as they decided to make the ORAS remakes.

Actually, if you look to the left you can see a snake like face and body, but it is too small to suggest this might be the main face of the Legendary and too far to the left.
Add the lion you can see and you can tell right away what the legendary pokemon is based on, something with a lion's head and a snake for a tail... a chimera.
Chimera are pretty bad ass, see pic, and breathe fire and a part fire type legendary would fit thematically with "sun". Because of the snake as well there is a possibility it could be the first fire/poison type as well.
