Well technically some did expect some sort of new Pokemon for the movie this year, we're really close to Gen 6 being over (especially through the anime since Ash is really close to his 8th badge) and around this time they would start to reveal a brand new Pokemon to include either at the end of the anime or the last movie of a Gen.

It'll leak around the 11th like usual
The magazine shipments come in on the 7th so in reality we could expect leaks from then to the 15th when it is officially out however most stores don't stock up and put their new magazine issues on shelves until a few days before the actual release, especially in Asian countries where magazines are just as popular as they are in the U.S. which is why we get leaks in the first place. Most stores break street date.
