I would go with acid spray for sure. Threatens calm mind bulky waters like slowbro/suicune and stops clef and sableye in their tracks. Sludge bomb certainly isn't bad by any means though.

It's special attack of 80 really is underwhelming so aside from poisoning chance there isn't much reason to run sludge bomb. Acid spray with tentacruels special bulk gives it a unique niche in suppressing calm mind set up nit just from significant fairy set up, but from bulky waters alike (minus slowbrow). I like to run rapid spin, acid spray, scald, knock off/toxic spikes.

I like my infestation, toxic, aqua ring, confuse ray set. With black sludge aqua ring provides decent recovery. It undoes burns effect

Acid Spray actively threatens all non-steel walls, not just Fairies. I've used Acid Spray to wear down Florges, as well as Suicunes. Man, fuck Suicune.
