The difficult thing about Primal Kyogre is that it uses Aqua Ring the whole time, so you have to keep maintaining its health in the red the whole time without accidentally knocking it out.

Sometimes Pokemon take awhile, not him, but I've had very similar problems trying to catch Zapdos before in Leaf Green. Even with it Asleep constantly and at like 1-3 HP.

You can use Shedinja. If you have trouble with Aqua Ring, it learns Heal Block at 41. You won't outspeed, so just hope it doesn't use it on the first turn. Getting Shedinja to 41 (or Nincada ends up learning False Swipe at 31 in ORAS, if you can cope with Aqua Ring) takes literally a few minutes and you don't need to do any breeding or anything.

Is it just me or are legendaries easier to catch the more recent the generation is?Its either that or a number of different variables like me being less of a retard with each new gen and knowing more about the mechanics etc that makes it seem easier. It's just that I used to go through 99 ultra balls fairly regularly against the bird trio and mewtwo in red, but iirc I caught kyogre in 2 ultraballs in ORAS, rayquaza in 1 and thendeoxysin about 10ish.

That's called luck anon, unlike most legendaries including and after gen 4 the Hoenn legendaries bar Ray retained their capture rate of 3.
