I feel the need to go into a little more detail because its a lazy evening in and its fun to do.
I went into BW as blind as I could, and when I caught a Yamask I realised I'd never actually trained up a ghost type since Gengar back in the day despite liking them a lot. When it evolved I was a bit iffy at first (was not expecting that amount of visual change) but its grown on me a lot, and I really like its uniqueness.
Since then Cofagrigus has gone on to be one of only two survivors of a Black nuzlocke run, been the core of my Trick Room trio I used for beating the Champion tier of the PWT and a regular fixture of my teams back when I used to play on Showdown. He never lets me down and the occasional times Mummy spreads all across both teams are always memorable.

It's not really humiliating to get pushed down a tier. Its just power creep, no shame in it, the whole point of tiers is to make an environment where pokemon like Golduck get a chance to shine.
