>tfw can't into IV breeding
>tfw the chances of me breeding a shiny with stats that "can't be beat" are astronomically impossible
How do people do it? Is it autism?
>inb4 injectfags
>>25853143
Yeah, it's pretty much autism.
>>25853143
I have a perfect IV Japanese Ditto that is shiny.
>>25853165
Everyone does
>>25853143
Yes.
That said, if you get a shiny, just roll with it.
>>25853143
No. It's hard work and patience. A serious mental illness that plagues literally 5% of the general population has absolutely nothing to do with it.
Inject it. Breederfags think it doesn't take long but 99% them either use hacked parents or don't realize special attackers need 6 specific IVs not 5
>>25853165
Good for you, I've been trying to fucking transfer IVs with a Destiny Knot through different egg groups and just fuck my shit up
I don't know what I'm doing anymore
>>25853198
>the chances of being autistic are astronomically higher than getting a "good" pokemon
Someone give me a small explanation on how to IV/nature breed. I've never looked into it before since I just play Showdown but I want to MM a good shiny Oshawott. Already have a perfect Jap Ditto.
>>25853208
Ive bred and genned and find the breeding process needlessly convoluted and time consuming. Its absurd.
So long as whatever is being generated or injected is legal and accessible in game, I see no problem with it.
>>25853212
Not really. You have a 1/8000 chance of a shiny, and an even higher chance for a good Pokémon in ORAS using various methods correctly, while only 1/7.3 million people will be born with autism.
>>25853198
>hard work
Pressing some buttons and hoping that the rng god answer your prayer isn't hard it's tedious.
>>25853220
>give destiny knot to ditto
>get the mom
>check IVs at the IV guy who says when one is perfect
>breed a couple batches and get a mom with more perfect IVs than the current mom
>repeat with new mom
>keep track and find a mom with the right nature in the process, and give it everstone
>eventually have the idea pokemon.
If you're wanting a shiny, you have to make a choice. Some of the +shiny methods don't worth with everstone (meaning you just have the basal shiny rate).
>>25853242
>tedious
It takes an hour, with shitty luck, to breed a team member. If you got some leftovers from Wonder Trade, it takes even less.
>>25853279
Thank you, will look into it later.
>>25853279
How does Everstone affect the shiny rate?
>>25853143
>GOT SHINY, 5IV, HA NINETALES
>IN TEN EGGS
I GOT LUCKY.
>>25853279
>Some of the +shiny methods don't worth with everstone
Dude what?
>>25853541
It passes down the nature of the holder
>>25853165
Does the shininess of it mean anything in the context of breeding?
>>25853617
No, just the fact that it's foreign.
It's out of date, but gets the point across.
ill trade a legit shiny gliscor for a haxed 6iv shiny gliscor
i need it for my team
>>25853143
>he doesnt have himself a groups of hexaflawless sevens for breeding
>>25855576
>please keep in mind that natures do not take into account EVs
But, they do. The multiplicative is taken into consideration after EVs, leading to what some people call "jump points"
