There is now an item that makes the holder immune to indirect damage. It gets consumed if the user takes damage from a damaging attack. Aside from Shedinja, what other Pokemon would benefit from this?

Guts users. Have them hold this item, switch in on an obvious WoW or Toxic, and proceed to sweep without worrying about the damage-over-time wearing them down.

Maybe a set with Unburden could work too? Use the mon to absorb status for your team and not take damage from it, and then let it take a hit to use the item and activate Unburden.

It still takes up an item slot and gets consumed when they take a hit. So it's not exactly ideal for constant switching.
