I play on the train, during off peak hours. Playing on a packed train isn't worth the high chance of getting yourself involved in a conversation with a huge sperg or some lunatic.

I teach Middle School Science, and feel I need to hide that I play Pokemon. You bond with these kids on anything, and they'll try to fuck shit up because they think you're best friends now, or they'll be the faggot kids that crone about how Call of Duty/Minecraft is the best game and be disrespectful little shits.
I was seen playing Pokemon before by kids on the bus and just kept looking around for their parents since the kids just huddled in the corner behind me and stared at my screen and made commentary on how I'm not using the right Pokemon (Mewtwo and Mega Rayquaza)
Got caught by my older co-workers that just went on about how games are evil and im trying to escape my life and how God is there to blah blah blah.

I think the only good thing that ever happend with me playing Pokemon in public was when we went to watch the Hobbit and pulled out our 3DS while we waited for things to start.
A few people behind us saw our screens and ran down and we traded Hidden Ability Pokemon.
