There should be a way of choosing your IV distribution like in other RPGs.
Maybe a level system similar to Dark Souls could work. After a certain level (Or just postgame to avoid fucking up game balance) you should be able to visit a certain tablet or and old guy, talking to it should give you the option of distributing your IV's/EVs in any way you want.
No more breeding, doesn't fucks up with competitive/game balance, anyone can do it, and it gets rid of the grind.
