This is a series that gets unreal profit for the amount of money put into it. They probably have more than enough money to pay him several times over but don't want to drop that much money on a digital only spin off.

This is a franchise with it's thumbs in every slice of the pie making a large profit in every aspect from the TCG to the anime and overall merchandise like plushes and such.
You really have no understanding of how much money this franchise truly earns.

That's because it's a spin off anon and there are certain licencing issues over seas that boost the cost to astronomical amounts to the point where it would affect the revenue of the game.
SAG wouldn't be anywhere near that cost.
